![]() Arguably it works quite well for laying down the roads. It was simply move to this location, complete this much of an item, boring, boring, boring.Įdit: I would like to add that the hex layout, does not bother me. I did not enjoy the campaign in this game at all. I am not generally a campaign guy, though I did enjoy the one in Northgard. ![]() The graphics and animations are lovely, however, there are issues with flashing objects and little weird glitches. Bread is the longest chain, with wheat turning into flour, which turns into bread. The supply chains are generally weak, barely going over two input resources. ![]() It is a handy boost to worker speed, but not required. I have tested the game and found that I can win games with relative ease without even worrying about food. There is barely any need to gather food resources. actually as it stands if you want to be just single player, then you play vs one enemy. What if i want to play with four players all on different teams, no option. You can't even chose your map (there is a way to turn of certain map selections in the settings, this is not obvious). You can't even have multiple enemies on single player, if you want 2v2 it requires another human. however on the second attempt, i realised it was going to be the exact same tedious strategy. However, this is not a Settlers game harking back to its roots. Adding the movement of resources and road networks to the Age of Empires games adds an interesting twist to the formula. Within the Age of Empires category, I actually think it is quite good. If it were advertised as a simple, Age of Empires-like RTS, I would be less disappointed. I have played The Settlers: New Allies for as many hours as I could fit since its release, and I will do my best to provide a fair review.įirst and foremost, the game feels dumbed down.
